annmarie cullen and cynthia catania first became acquainted in the LA underground music scene, promoting their own solo projects. after a few double bills, the girls began singing & performing on each others songs & ultimately, writing together. they immediately recognized their amazing musical chemistry, and soon decided that being in a band, together, was a lot more fun. the addition of their current and uber talented rhythm section (steve giles & megan jane) solidified this notion even more.
saucy monky have had their music placed in several network TV shows and indie films. noteworthy mentions include BLUE BLOODS, ALCATRAZ, iCARLY, FOOD FOR THOUGHT, GUIDING LIGHT & AND THEN CAME LOLA. they have shared festival stages with PJ harvey, pink, the black eyed peas, the cure, wilco, marianne faithful, metric, etc., playing to crowds as large as 100k! (O2 in the park, Oxegen, the Colours festival, SD indiefest, and more.)
their latest album TROPHY GIRL /oLivoiL records, is to be released in early 2012.
